Source Reference Note:When Uncle Rolfe died, Dr. Christianson woke in the middle of the night and told his wife "Rolfe died tonight". The next morning he got the phone call that Uncle Rolfe had died. He was "fey" and knew things.

Source text:JOHN ROLFE HORSLEY
1868-1944Graduated at the Virginia Agricultural and Mechanical College, now the Virginia Polytechnic Institute. A keen intellect, jovial disposition, he was a very welcome guest at all gatherings. He was an Elder and leader in the Presbyterian Church. County Surveyor. Member of the house of Delegates of Virginia in 1889. Clerk of Appomattox Circuit Court from 1905 to 1919. He was again elected to the House of Delegates serving from 1919 to 1925. The members of that body soon realized his ability and made him Floor Leader.
